We have recently conducted a survey of our UK branches to see how satisfied students have been with our language courses.  We are pleased to say that 98% of students have said that they would definitely recommend us to their friends.  These views were taken from our ‘Student Leaving Questionnaire’ that we give to all students to complete when they finish studying with us.  There are a lot of happy ex-students who studied with us out there in the big world.  Come back anytime!

On 7th March we SLC held a charity cake sale to raise money for International Women’s Day.  Everyone took part in making and eating the cakes (mostly eating) and we raised £60!

New French and Spanish courses will be starting from Monday 16th April.

The courses will run for 10 weeks (2 hours per week) on either a Monday or Wednesday evening between 7-9pm.

Classes are taught by a native speaker and are tailored towards what you need and want to learn.

We have made some improvements in the school for the spring term!

We have a shiny new classroom with a giant window so you can see the teachers in action from reception! We have a brand new illuminated sign outside so people can find us easily and we also have big vinyl stickers  saying “cursos de ingles” on the window so everybody knows what we do!

Portsmouth Language College will be opening a new morning IELTS class Monday - Friday 09:30 - 12:45 from Tuesday April 10th.

The class will be taught by a highly experienced IELTS teacher and will feature everything you need to prepare for the exam whatever score you are hoping to achieve.

The FCE, CAE & CPE Speaking Exams will be held at Portsmouth Language College on Friday 2nd March from 13.15 onwards.  All candidates will receive a personalised timetable soon from Alina, the Registrar.

FCE & CPE Written exams will be held at Portsmouth Language College on Saturday 10th March.

CAE Written exams will be held at Portsmouth Language College on Saturday 17th March.

The Principal, David Tompkins, is pleased to announce that the UK Border Agency has awarded us the coveted Highly Trusted Status (HTS) as our Sponsorship rating.  This means that the UK government correctly recognises our College as being fair and trustworthy when we issue Student Visa Letters & CAS’.  We were previously A-rated, but the new system has increased checks on language schools to eradicate illegal immigrants posing as students.  I am pleased to say that our honesty and integrity as a company has been recognised.

Our superb Cambridge Exam evening classes start on Monday 12th September.  The courses will run in all 3 UK branches until Weds 7th December (13 week courses).

 We will be running FCE, CAE, CPE & IELTS classes on Mondays and Wednesdays from 18.00-21.00.  We may also run lower level General English classes if there is demand.
